An overwhelming response to [In]Sight
After much anticipation, we launched [In]Sight yesterday, the nation’s first online index and interactive map of regional competitiveness, providing regions with a comprehensive breakdown of their key economic drivers and enabling them to take control of their future.
The response was phenomenal, with the phones were ringing off the hook, from journalists wanting to talk about how their region had ranked, to people just letting us know what a useful resource it will be for them in the future. We also had a wave of positive feedback from all levels of government, businesses, research organisations and regional communities, as well as some useful comments on how we can look to improve [In]Sight in the future and what new indicators of competitiveness could be added in the future. We value all the feedback we’ve received and will always be looking to improve and adapt this on-going resource to reflect what matters to regional Australia.
We were thrilled to see people using [In]Sight to understand how their region is performing, so much so that the site actually crashed from too many people trying to get in at once. We want to thank everyone for their patience and apologise to anyone who had trouble accessing it.
We’re proud to be involved in this journey toward a vibrant future for all of Australia’s regions, and creating [In]Sight is just the first step. The next is taking this information and, with your help, turning into something that benefits each and every one of us.
We encourage you to join the conversation about what [In]Sight means for your region, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
