Become the 2016 Regional Online Hero!
Less than two weeks remain for entries to the 2016 Regional Online Heroes’ competition. They are rolling in fast, so don’t miss the closing date of Friday 28 October!
Ten lucky finalists will be flown to Sydney to attend an exclusive masterclass at Google where they will learn from industry leaders how to grow their business online.
Last year’s finalists included a teddy bear manufacturer in outback Tambo (overall winner), remote telehealth occupational and speech therapy services based in Deniliquin, astronomy tourism experiences in Broken Hill, an online community for rural women in Lightning Ridge, and a honey producer based in Claremont who’s now exporting to the world.
To provide an update, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland are currently dominating the entries pool, representing two thirds of all competitors. We have some truly excellent examples so far, and are really looking forward to reviewing the final list!
2016 Regional Online Heroes competition applications close Friday 28 October. The top ten finalists will be announced on Monday 14 November. The Masterclass at Google HQ in Sydney and announcement of the overall ‘national winner’ for 2016 will take place on Monday 5 December.
