Research on Financial Services in Regional Australia
Invitation to Participate
The Regional Australia Institute is conducting research to better understand how regional Australia uses financial services. This includes looking at individual experiences and satisfaction with financial services, and seeing if this is different in metropolitan areas. This understanding will help see what is working and what could be done better.
This study is important for better supporting regional Australians to access financial services in a way which supports their needs.
We want to know how regional people and operators of small businesses prefer to use financial services and their level of satisfaction with them. We would like to identify the different service access and satisfaction levels regional people have compared with metropolitan.
We would also like to hear how regional people have innovated to solve problems that they have encountered with financial services providers.
What this involves
We will be running a series of interviews with regional people and business owners across the country.
When this will happen
We plan to have the interviews in October 2020. Due to COVID-19, these will be conducted over the phone.
Your involvement
We would like to invite you to take part in this process, to share your knowledge and experience about using financial services in regional Australia – as an individual or business.
Each interview will take between 30-45 minutes and will be informal. We are simply aiming to capture your thoughts and experiences on financial services in regional Australia.
Your involvement in the interviews is voluntary. Any information that you share with us will be kept private and confidential to the best of our abilities.
