RAI’s priorities for 2014 open for comment
Drawing on research and consultation over the past 12 months, the RAI has identified its draft research priorities for 2014. In addition to continuing existing research projects and the first annual update its core products [In]Sight and [In]Form, the RAI will also be pursuing three new research projects for 2014.
Two of these projects will include:
- Regions leading their own development: Australian case study library, and
- Developing the ‘Potential Framework’ and testing of the Ideas within it.
The third research priority, however, is yet to be determined. The RAI has identified four potential research options from which to choose the third research priority for 2014. These four areas are:
- Developing human capital,
- Entrepreneurial ecosystems,
- Optimising outcomes of governance, and
- Infrastructure investment.
In order to determine the third research priority, the RAI is seeking feedback and input from its key stakeholders. Stakeholder input is a valuable source of information for the organisation to ensure that our research continues to reflect the issues and opportunities in regional Australia.
We would greatly appreciate your time in reviewing the research priorities and for providing your feedback. We look forward to hearing your valuable thoughts and ideas in these research areas and to contributing to the creation of a vibrant regional Australia – for the good of Australia.
