The Regional Australia Institute (RAI) will host Deputy Prime Minister the Hon. Michael McCormack for a pre-budget address, to be broadcast publicly via webinar.
RAI CEO Ms Liz Ritchie will lead the session which will include discussion about the opportunities that may emerge for regional Australia in the Federal Budget, to be handed down on May 11.
“Regional Australia has been the backbone of our nation through the coronavirus pandemic. Given regional Australia’s strong role in aiding a swift recovery, the budget will need to ensure a strong focus on our regions,” Ms Ritchie said.
“Further investment would provide much-needed support in realising our ambitions as a nation,” Liz Ritchie concluded.
