On September 13-14, 2023 the RAI hosted its annual Regions Rising National Summit. The theme of the event was 'Shifting our Gaze', a call to action for decision-makers to think about regional Australia.
Regional Australia has been changing for some time now. Our country communities are getting bigger, more jobs than ever before are on offer, and many of the industries of the future will be based in our regions.
Regional job vacancies remained steady at 91,000 in August 2023 with a 0.8 per cent increase from July. The latest level of vacancies reflects a slight 0.3 per cent decrease compared to the same period a year earlier.
