Membership

Regional Australia Institute membership is open to companies, local governments and organisations who support the regionalisation ambition.

Representing over 65 members, we are the only independent think tank solely focused on better outcomes for Regional Australia. Our research and insights, coupled with our activation and community engagement, enables us to develop strong policy outcomes to transform Australia’s future.

By taking out a membership you can be in the conversations that will drive the future of the regions in Australia. Membership offers you a range of benefits such as receiving access to the latest industry information, networking opportunities, boosting your brand exposure within the regions, being involved in the key conversations within the sector, and supporting the policy and advocacy work of the Regional Australia Institute.

Membership types

Regional Australia Institute currently has three membership levels, the Regional Activators Alliance (RAA), the Regional Australia Council (RAC) and the Regional Australia Council Associate (RACA).

Showcasing Members Bold Projects and Ideas

Our Regional Activator Alliance members represent more than 900 regional towns and cities across the country - from Cairns (QLD) to Campbell Town (TAS), Coffs Harbour (NSW) to Northam (WA).

Regional Australia is changing at a rapid pace. It is on the precipice of enormous societal transformation - not seen in the last 100 years. Population is growing rapidly, with more who want to make the move. RAI commissioned market research for Move to More in 2024, revealed 2-in-5 metropolitan Australians are keen to make a life for themselves in the country, up from 1-in-5 just 18 months earlier.

The regional economy is evolving, and for those who venture to it, it will offer enormous potential. Regional leaders across the country are stepping up to deliver real change in their communities – addressing the challenges and opportunities presented with this societal shift underway.
